Early Minton Delft Blue and White tureen, c.1871

This lovely antique, footed, large oval ironstone tureen with no lid is a classic example of late 1800's White and Blue china. Made by Minton and decorated in their sought after ‘Delft’ pattern designed by Henry Bourne in 1871,  it features luscious, cobalt blue florals around a stylish central jardinière. The pattern's popularity kept in production for over 120 years making it one of the most successful patterns in the history of tableware.
